Who cooks dinner?
Mar 20, 2007 - 9:38 PM - by happy24_7
I am a stay at home mom that babysits from home. My husband works full time, so I am the one that gets dinner ready everyday. But, if I worked full time outside the home I'm not sure how we would divide cooking and chores. How do you all handle this?
Who Controls the TV
Mar 20, 2007 - 11:35 PM - by rachelzwo
My husband and I are pretty much into the same shows, but he loves wrestling and I absolutely hate it. I think it's so fake and ridiculous. And sometimes I want to watch Ugly Betty or Desperate Housewives. If he's not home, I get to watch the shows I want, but if he's home, we always watch what he wants. How do you guys handle this?
Saving? What Is That?
Mar 21, 2007 - 8:03 AM - by happy24_7
Okay, I know there has to be someone out there that knows how to save money. How? How do you save money when its being spent faster than we are making it? Does anyone have any saving ideas?
Preventing procrastination?
Mar 14, 2007 - 6:58 PM - by Stephanie2377
OK.. all of you husbands.. I could use some help.

My husband, as much as I love him, is SUCH a procrastinator. He has a million things on his to-do list, yet nothing seems to get done. I ask him to do something in the morning, and if I ask him again I am nagging. But, he still doesn't do it until maybe later in the evening!

It took him 3 weeks to take down our Christmas lights.

But, if something is pressing in another area of his life (like work, or drag racing), you better believe he jumps RIGHT on it.

Any ideas on how to perhaps approach this better with him? I stop asking him, often, because I get so aggravated. I just want him to put priority on what I ask him to do!
Picky eaters...HELP
Mar 21, 2007 - 8:26 AM - by happy24_7
I have 3 children that never seem to like the dinners I make. I do not want to make 4 different meals for each of them. My son who is 9, complains about EVERYTHING. He is a slender fellow and really needs to start eating foods that will stick to his bones. Any suggestions on how to get him to try new foods? Ideas on meals that might be appealing to him? Thanks!
Our mornings are nuts!
Mar 22, 2007 - 8:46 AM - by happy2bg33k
Does anyone else have that frenetic try to get everyone up, showered, fed and out the door to work and school you are exhausted before 9am kind of mornings? Sometimes I realize how much I miss my husband mid-morning because we barely got to say good morning without being interrupted .

Joint Ventures
Mar 23, 2007 - 6:30 PM - by SageMother
Most people are afraid to enter into business ventures with their spouse as their business partner. I find it comforting to know that my business partner bears the same level of risk and concern that I do. It is more convenient to have those impormptu discussions on what needs to happen next along with the creative balance he adds.

Are You pursiuing any business dreams with your spouse? How do you handle creative differences?
I'm a Homeschooler
Mar 15, 2007 - 10:53 AM - by mamab
We've been homeschooling our children since the day they were born. I have a 9yos who is doing mostly 4th grade work, but reads on a 7-8th grade level. I also have a 6yos; he's just starting kindergarten work and is doing some 1st grade work, as well. It is my intention to homeschool through high school.

Are there any other homeschoolers on the forum?
Are you friends with your spouse?
Mar 23, 2007 - 1:58 AM - by lucky_pinay
Friendship is an important foundation for a long lasting relationship with your spouse, sometimes we forget to be friends after the wedding though. So I was wondering if you guys consider your spouse as your friend...?
